DLS Showjumping is run by husband and wife team David Simpson and Louise Simpson (Nee Pavitt). Having trained at top international yards in their individual careers, they set up DLS Showjumping together in 2012. They make an unstoppable team, rivalling the best and often found atop the podium at major shows around the world.
David has represented Ireland on Pony, Junior, Young Rider & Senior show jumping teams. Training under Shane Breen for seven years, he competed on his own horse while producing young horses for Breen Equestrian and assisting with sales, breeding, and training. More recently, David has achieved success on the international stage. In 2019, David won the Queen’s Cup at Hickstead for the second time in his career along with Leading Showjumper of the Year at HOYS. He’s had continued success in the limited 2020 season, coming 2nd in the 4* Grand Prix at Vilamoura and being selected for Irish teams throughout the year.
Louise is a renowned competitor in the showjumping world, having started out with tremendous success, winning numerous individual and team medals on Ponies and in Juniors. She started her senior career at Brendon Stud where she produced Don VHP Z – now considered one of the best 5* horses in the world. Louise went on to gain titles including the Windsor Grand Prix and numerous other wins at top level shows such as Hickstead, Paris, Crans Montana, and HOYS.
Based in West Sussex at their newly refurbished yard, they have an impressive string of horses, from youngsters through to those competing at 5* level.
